Viskir is an independent app operated by Andrey Timofeev. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@viskir.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Viskir iPhone app, visit viskir.com, or contact Viskir support.
Workout data
Viskir stores workout data locally on your device. When iCloud is available for Viskir, workout data may also be synchronized across your Apple devices through iCloud/CloudKit associated with your Apple Account. Depending on your country or region, iCloud services may be provided by Apple or the applicable iCloud service provider. Viskir does not operate its own account system or workout-data server, and the operator does not receive or have access to the contents of your private iCloud database through normal use of the app.
Viskir remains usable offline. Changes made while offline are saved locally and may synchronize through iCloud when connectivity and iCloud service are available.
Device or system backups that you control may also contain app data depending on your Apple and device settings. Those backups are not operated by Viskir.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Viskir does not include advertising, third-party advertising trackers, or developer-operated usage analytics in this version of the app. Viskir does not sell personal information.
Support communications
If you contact Viskir support, Viskir receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and attachments. This information is used to respond to your request, investigate technical problems, maintain the security and reliability of Viskir, and keep records when reasonably necessary for those purposes.
The Viskir support mailbox is hosted by Porkbun. Support communications may therefore be transmitted to and stored by Porkbun as part of providing its email service. You can review Porkbun's Privacy Policy for information about its practices.
Website
viskir.com is a static website hosted using GitHub Pages. Viskir does not place advertising trackers or developer-operated analytics on the site. GitHub Pages logs visitors' IP addresses for security purposes and GitHub may process technical request information as described in GitHub's Privacy Statement.
Purposes and legal bases
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, Viskir processes support and related operational information as necessary for the legitimate interests of responding to users, operating and securing Viskir, diagnosing problems, and maintaining appropriate support records. Information may also be processed where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
Providing information to Viskir support is voluntary. If you do not provide enough information to understand your request, Viskir may be unable to respond or investigate the issue.
Sharing and service providers
Viskir does not sell your workout data or send your workout history to the operator. When iCloud synchronization is available, workout data is transmitted to and stored through iCloud by Apple or the applicable iCloud service provider in your region, as necessary to provide synchronization across your Apple devices.
Personal information from support communications or website use may be processed by service providers used to operate those services, including Porkbun for email and GitHub for website hosting. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
International processing
Porkbun and GitHub are United States-based service providers and may process information in the United States or other countries where they or their service providers operate. Where data-protection law requires safeguards for international transfers, the relevant provider's privacy documentation describes the mechanisms it uses for those transfers.
Retention and deletion
Workout data remains stored locally until you delete it through Viskir or remove the app from that device. If workout data has synchronized through iCloud, removing Viskir from one device does not necessarily delete the synchronized copy in iCloud, and that data may return when Viskir is installed again on a device using the same Apple Account.
When you delete workout data within Viskir, that deletion is also synchronized through iCloud when synchronization is available.
Support communications are kept only while they remain reasonably necessary to resolve or understand the request, maintain security or support records, or satisfy applicable legal obligations. The need to retain a message is reviewed based on whether the issue remains active, whether the record is needed for recurring technical or security problems, and whether retention is legally required. You may request deletion of support information by contacting support@viskir.com, subject to any lawful reason Viskir must retain it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information Viskir holds about you, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to processing, and in some cases data portability. These rights primarily apply to information such as support correspondence because the operator does not receive your workout history through normal use of the app. Workout data synchronized through iCloud is stored in your private iCloud database and can be deleted through Viskir as described above.
To exercise a privacy right, contact support@viskir.com. Where applicable, you may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the country or region where you live, work, or believe a violation occurred.
Automated decision-making
Viskir does not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Children
Viskir is intended as a general workout journal for users age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. If Viskir learns that personal information has been provided by a child under 13 in circumstances where it should not be retained, it will be deleted as appropriate.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if Viskir's features, providers, or data practices change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
